What's next?

Something we are not short of at Ykids is an ambitious vision, and the determination to see it happen.

The heart of that ambition is be effective in making a difference to the lives of children and young people. We've been pleased to see tangible results in the lives of many children and young people, as well as the very positive feedback from parents, teachers and community leaders. But we want to be more effective in what we do and reach even more children and young people.

To accomplish the expanding work of Ykids in communities across Bootle and South Sefton we see the next significant step as moving towards a purpose built base for Ykids. This would provide major resources for children and young people in the area, including supervised indoor and outdoor adventure play, a healthy eating cafe, space for events and more ambitious projects, training facilities, space for social enterprises under the Ykids umbrella, etc etc etc. (In fact, we've already got a very well developed set of ideas of how the building and outdoor facilities would be used, and we'd be pleased to discuss it with anyone who would like to support Ykids in this venture).
